St. John's Church
Living stones, loving God, serving others

We hold Junior Church every Sunday, at the time of Parish Mass during term time.

For ages 5-11 (Under 5's may participate accompanied by a parent or guardian).   Bible stories, crafts and activities.

Junior Church is taking a summer break.  We will begin again on Sunday, 9 September at 9:30 am during morning mass.

Penny Jar Projects
Our Junior Church children (and any adults who want to contribute) regularly collect small change in our Penny Jar and give it to local charities - including Gravesham Foodbank and House of Mercy, both of which support the needy and hungry in our area.  The children learn that when added up, a little can make a BIG difference!
Why not save and contribute your small change? Bring it along any Sunday during term time and give it to the Junior Church teacher on duty, or to a Churchwarden.
We regularly contribute our collection at Easter and Harvest direct to the charities.

It is the policy of the PCC to adhere to both national and diocesan policies on Safeguarding and Child Protection.

The Rochester diocesan policy may be read using the Safeguarding & Child Protection link on the left in the Parish Policies section below the Main Menu.

In addition a Parish Policy Statement for Safeguarding Children is signed annually, after the April Annual Parish Meeting, and displayed in the porch.  (see page 45 of the Safeguarding & Child Protection Policy identified above)

If you have any worries or concerns these should be addressed to our Child Protection Officer
